has many years of experience with companies in special situations gained in her former position as partner in a leading German auditing firm where she specialised in restructuring. She is responsible for the development and implementation of restructuring concepts. As a qualified auditor and accountant (of counsel), she prepares expert reports in accordance with the stipulations laid down by professional bodies and Supreme Court jurisdiction (German Institute of Auditors and Federal Court of Justice). As a Certified Public Accountant, she is fully familiar not only with US and international accounting methods, but also with complex, cross-border tasks and situations. Within the framework of re-alignment and restructuring, mainly of larger, medium-sized enterprises, her focus lies on the development of appropriate corporate planning and control systems as well as on the elaboration of innovative and sound financial solutions. A major factors in her success in this area is her close and fruitful method of communication with all stakeholders involved. Melanie Metz was formerly mainly active in the mechanical and plant-engineering sector. Her further specialist area is focused on the construction industry. Within the CIC Partner Team Melanie Metz is in charge of the overall coordination of restructuring projects where she is responsible for all financial matters. has concentrated on enterprises undergoing change for over 10 years. As a financial auditor and accountant (of counsel), his focus is on financial process optimisation and the development of innovative financing concepts. Together with the implementation of classic re-development measures, his emphasis lies in creating future-oriented long-term financial sustainability. Alongside classic loan-financing he also develops individually-tailored additions and alternative solutions for varying requirements. This includes ABS financing as well as debt certificates and bond issues. Christian Schmidt here coordinates the entire process and takes over responsibility for drawing up the prospectus and documentation. In the past he has accompanied and provided support for bond issues amounting to hundreds of millions. In his opinion, efficient finance and accounting are just as important as the restitution of solid financing. Together with his team he concentrates on systematically optimising company data, processes and systems. The period after turnaround is thus also well-provided for at a stage when companies have smoothly managed fast closing and can swiftly provide their financers with the information necessary. Such requirements have for a long time been directed not only at corporate groups but are also expected from modern medium-sized companies. This situation is ideal for Christian Schmidt. Coming from a family with a medium-sized business for special machinery, he understands the situations prevailing in medium-sized enterprises. Proof of this can be seen especially in the successful projects he has managed in the metal-working industry and the logistics sector. For Christian Schmidt restructuring is only then completed when its effectiveness has been put to the test.
